The project will mark the firm&#8217;s fourth facility in South Carolina. Magna is expected to invest $29 million in the facility and create 480 new jobs over the next five years. As an incentive, the Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to this project.<\/p>\n<p>Located in the Tyger River Industrial Park, between I-26 and I-85 along Highway 290, Magna\u2019s new 230,000-square-foot seating plant will feature dedicated assembly and sequencing lines to supply seats to BMW\u2019s nearby facility. Magna currently has three manufacturing locations in South Carolina and employs roughly 1,450 people in the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a new chapter in the ongoing collaboration between Magna and BMW, as it\u2019s our first seating business award with this valued global customer.
