Houston<\/strong>\u2014Team Industrial Services Inc. announced plans to expand their corporate headquarters in Sugar Land, Texas, 20 miles southwest of downtown Houston. The decision to occupy 59,000 square feet of office space at 13131 Dairy Ashford Road comes in correlation with the company\u2019s recent acquisition of the Furmanite Corp.<\/p>\n

“The City of Sugar Land is proud to be the home of Team Industrial’s corporate headquarters,” said Sugar Land Development Corp. President Steve Porter in a prepared statement. “Sugar Land continues to be an economic powerhouse in the region thanks to our pro-business climate and family-oriented quality of life. We look forward to a continued partnership with Team.”<\/p>\n

The City\u2019s Office of Economic Development created an incentive package approved by the SLDC to secure the retention of 100 jobs and expansion with\u00a0an additional 113 jobs in Sugar Land.<\/p>\n

The Team\u2019s merger with Furmanite nearly doubles the size of its mechanical services capabilities, thus the recent acquisition pushed senior management to explore options for consolidation of their corporate headquarters operations, opting for Sugar Land.<\/p>\n
