Bridgewater, Mass.<\/strong>\u2014Theory Wellness Inc. recently hired Vantage Builders Inc., a general contracting and construction company based in Waltham, Mass., to build out a medical marijuana cultivation, processing, and dispensing facility for the firm in Bridgewater. The dispensary is scheduled to open in April 2017.<\/p>\n

Located at 1050 Elm St., the facility will be housed within a 12,000-square-foot retail\/industrial building, and will feature TWI\u2019s vertically integrated medical marijuana operations. Following plans from BKA Architects, Vantage will build-out the space to support state-of-the-art, independently climate-controlled cultivation rooms, drying and processing areas, and a retail dispensary. The project will include internal construction and significant electrical, plumbing and HVAC work.<\/p>\n

\u201cCultivating and processing pharmaceutical-grade marijuana is a much more complicated and precise process than most people think, and it all begins with proper design and construction of the facility,\u201d said Nick Friedman, president of TWI. \u201cFor example, there are many specific environmental conditions that must be maintained, which varies for each stage of the cultivation process. All of our medicine is tested for contaminants and quality at a laboratory in Massachusetts; it is essential to have a properly controlled and sanitary environment inside of our facility. We appreciate how attentive Vantage Builders has been to our construction process, so that we can be assured our patients will receive the highest quality products.\u201d<\/p>\n
