The Franklin, Chicago<\/p><\/div>\n

Chicago<\/strong>\u2014OCC<\/a>, the world\u2019s largest equity derivatives clearing organization, has signed a 105,000-square-foot lease with Tishman Speyer<\/a> at The Franklin in Chicago\u2019s West Loop. The deal follows OCC\u2019s recent lease for 46,500 square feet of office space within the Cypress Waters development in suburban Dallas.<\/p>\n

The Franklin incorporates two connected buildings at 222 W. Adams St. and 227 W. Monroe St., totaling nearly 2.5 million square feet of office space. The 34-story, Class A tower was designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and is owned and managed by Tishman Speyer.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Franklin will provide our colleagues with a great new work environment that better reflects the culture and values of our organization,\u201d OCC Executive Chairman & CEO Craig Donohue said in a statement. \u201cWe have been working closely with HDREP, which has decades of experience in addressing the complex office and data center needs of our industry, on a comprehensive, innovative approach to managing our real estate strategy.\u201d<\/p>\n

The office complex<\/a> recently underwent a complete makeover and lobby redevelopment, adding a plethora of new amenities at the site, including a gourmet caf\u00e9, state-of-the-art conference center to accommodate 300 people, full-service, on-site fitness center, and a tenant-only bar and event venue, among others.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith this transaction and our recent 50,000-square-foot lease in a new building in Dallas, we continue to make significant progress in accommodating our present and future growth, achieving operational efficiencies, and providing a resilient infrastructure to better serve market participants,\u201d stated Donohue.<\/p>\n
