Dallas<\/strong>\u2014 Westmount Realty Capital<\/a>, a Dallas<\/a>-based commercial real estate company, announced their current Chief Financial Officer Brant Brown will also be taking on the role of chief operating officer. Brown joined Westmount in October 2015, and will now broaden his role to include company-wide leadership and talent development, marketing, IT strategy and investment management.<\/p>\n

\u201cBrant has proven to be a valuable asset as Westmount\u2019s CFO and we\u2019re pleased to extend his role on our executive team to include COO responsibilities,\u201d said Clifford Booth, president and CEO of Westmount, in prepared remarks.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis experience in commercial real estate, finance and business will allow Brant to continue to enhance the day-to-day operations of our business, extend relationships with investors and help Westmount to continue to grow our strategic platform nationally.\u201d<\/p>\n

With more than a decade of experience, Brown started his career at Merit Energy<\/a>, working with endowments and large institutional investors. He was directly involved with or led the financial analysis and governance for more than $30 billion in institutional real estate and investments.<\/p>\n

Brown’s background also includes working at Fortress Private Equity affiliate Nationstar Mortgage, Ashford Hospitality and Invesco Real Estate.<\/p>\n

Brown is actively a member of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries, NAIOP, The Real Estate Council, Financial Executives International, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Urban Land Institute.<\/p>\n
