With more than 25 years of international tax experience as a business leader, Barber will be responsible for managing and directing all aspects of CBRE&#8217;s global tax function including tax planning, policy and compliance, and provisions for the corporation worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Madeleine is a successful executive who brings a wealth of expertise in tax matters to CBRE,&#8221; said Jim Groch, chief financial officer of CBRE, &#8220;and has a record of working effectively across functions to create competitive advantage.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Formerly the senior vice president &amp; chief tax officer at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tyco.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Tyco International<\/a>, Barber began her career in public accounting, serving Fortune 100 clients with the international tax practices at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aa1913.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Arthur Andersen<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/home.kpmg.com\/us\/en\/home.html\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">KPMG<\/a>. A partner at both firms, Barber held leadership positions during a significant period in which the company underwent several changes.
