Lane Riverfront Park<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Tampa, Fla.<\/strong>\u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usa.skanska.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Skanska USA<\/a> recently announced it will renovate and expand the Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park, a 23-acre park in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/tampa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tampa<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The $35.6 million reconstruction project will include open green spaces for outdoor activities and walkable paths along Hillsborough River, improvements and reconfigurations to the existing seawall as well as to the floating docks to provide water access for kayaks, boating and aquatic sports.<\/p>\n<p>The expansion project will also feature the River Center Building, adjacent to Hillsborough River, along with several other new amenities such as tennis courts, basketball and sand volleyball courts, a multi-use football field, areas for lacrosse and soccer, as well as a performance pavilion and green spaces for concerts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis represents one of the biggest projects to take shape in West Tampa in decades and one that will benefit the entire region as residents and visitors will get to enjoy this public space for years to come,\u201d said Chuck Jablon, SVP at Skanska USA Building, in prepared remarks. \u201cThe park\u2019s renovation and expansion will bring new life to the waterfront with sports, entertainment and aquatic activities that the entire community will get to experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park is situated in West Tampa, adjacent to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ut.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of Tampa<\/a> campus, and will serve as an urban oasis for the city once completed by the end of 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Skanska recently secured <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/skanska-builds-63m-medical-research-and-education-facility-in-tampa-bay\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a $62.7 million contract<\/a> to build a research and education facility on the Johns Hopkins Medicine All Children\u2019s Hospital campus in St. Petersburg.<\/p>\n<p><em>Image courtesy of Skanska USA<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Julian B.
