The facility, under development by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hecateenergy.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Hecate Energy<\/a>, will generate 20 megawatts of solar energy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSolar energy is an essential element of the all-of-the-above energy approach our Commonwealth needs to keep costs for businesses, families and taxpayers low and continue to build a new Virginia economy,\u201d said Governor McAuliffe. \u201cThe new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/sustainability\/\" target=\"_blank\">solar facility<\/a> in Clarke County is an excellent step in stabilizing and reducing energy costs, while delivering clean solar power to the grid throughout the region. We will continue to invest in energy infrastructure and support innovative approaches to bring low-cost, renewable energy to all corners of the Commonwealth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Clarke Solar Farm will be equipped with high-efficiency photovoltaic modules, mounted to aluminum frames and attached to a fixed position racking and tracking system.
