id=\"caption-attachment-1004149573\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Skanska is also developing the new Women and Children&#8217;s Health Building in Newark, Del.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Mullica Hill, N.J.<\/strong>\u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usa.skanska.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Skanska USA<\/a> is building a new five-story, $200 million hospital building in Mullica Hill, N.J., on behalf of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inspirahealthnetwork.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Inspira Health Network<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The hospital will total approximately 350,000 square feet and feature 204 beds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA new medical center conveniently located in the heart of Gloucester County will be a great asset to the entire region,\u201d John DiAngelo, Inspira Health Network president &amp; CEO, said in a prepared release. \u201cThis modern facility will allow our physicians and staff to offer our neighbors easy access to an even higher level of quality health care.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The hospital will be situated on a 100-acre site located on Route 322 near Exit 50 of Route 55, across from Rowan\u2019s South Jersey Technology Park and adjacent to Rowan University\u2019s west campus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEducation and health care are not only important economic engines in our region, but they are both essential to improving the lives of our residents,\u201d DiAngelo said. \u201cBuilding our new medical center close to the Rowan campus will allow us to explore the possibilities of offering students valuable medical education experiences in a modern hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The state-of-the-art medical center will house more than 1,400 employees and hospital services currently offered in Woodbury, and will feature all private patient rooms and a variety of modern amenities and technologies.<\/p>\n<p>According to DiAngelo, Inspira plans to implement leading-edge wireless and digital technologies in the new hospital, including electronic medical record systems.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA new building will allow us to expand our digital technologies and enhance the care we provide our patients,\u201d he said. \u201cOur design will also focus on green technologies that will provide energy efficiency and help us to reduce the cost of operations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Key services the medical center will offer include modern, fully-equipped surgical suites; a home-like maternity center; a spacious emergency department with a dedicated pediatric ER; and a cardiac catheterization lab with emergency angioplasty for heart attack patients.<\/p>\n<p>This marks the second major hospital contract Skanska USA has announced in the Delaware Valley in the third quarter, following <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/christiana-care-enlists-skanska-for-178m-expansion\/\" target=\"_blank\">last month\u2019s announcement<\/a> that it was selected to the build the Women and Children\u2019s Health Building for Christiana Care Health System in Newark, Del.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSkanska\u2019s extensive regional national healthcare experience and innovative construction and delivery models enable clients like Inspira to focus on providing a superior service to the community,\u201d said Ed Szwarc, Skanska USA executive vice president &amp; general manager. \u201cAt Skanska, we build for a better society\u2013and we are committed to enhancing and expanding the Philadelphia region\u2019s capacity for quality healthcare through these world-class
