New York<\/strong>\u2014Quadrum Global<\/a> is extending its expertise with the fall opening of a pair of New York City<\/a> hotels, which will be operated under the company\u2019s new Arlo Hotels<\/a> brand. Additionally, Quadrum has announced that hospitality industry professionals Foiz Ahmed, Javier Egipciaco, Maggie Houston, Jason Enany, Heather Berti, Katherine Solomon and Li Tang have joined the company to manage all aspects of Arlo\u2019s operations.<\/p>\n

Arlo Hotels Music Lounge<\/p><\/div>\n

Quadrum\u2019s first two Arlo properties are set to open in the city\u2019s Hudson Square and NoMad neighborhoods. The 325-key Arlo Hudson Square will open in September, while the 250-key Arlo NoMad hotel will open approximately one month later.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s decision to self-manage the hotels under a new brand is part of a corporate strategy focused on building an in-house management platform around its key portfolio properties. The guest experience is enhanced by smart technology, music lounges, rooftop terraces and patios as prime social destinations; restaurants feature celebrated chefs; entertainment includes performances by up-and-coming artists; and workshops are hosted by leaders in today\u2019s creative milieu.<\/p>\n

Foiz Ahmed<\/p><\/div>\n

\u201cHospitality has been one of our core investment strategies since we entered the U.S. market in 2009,\u201d stated Oleg Pavlov, Quadrum\u2019s founder & CEO. \u201cGiven where the hotel investment market is today, we believe that self-managing our newest crop of hotel projects puts us in a better position to create value for investors and customers over the entire lifecycle of these projects.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ahmed joins Quadrum\u2019s New York office as president of Arlo Hotels. In this role, he will oversee all aspects of operations for the brand. Ahmed has worked in the hospitality industry for more than 25 years. Most recently, he was vice president of Hersha Hospitality Management<\/a>\u2019s Independent Collection. There, he led all aspects of branding, marketing and operations, while growing the brand from five to 12 hotels. Prior to HHM, Ahmed held various operations and sales positions during a long tenure with Marriott<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"Javier<\/a>

Javier Egipciaco<\/p><\/div>\n

Egipciaco brings more than 18 years of New York hospitality experience to his position as managing director of Arlo Hotels. Prior to Quadrum, Egipciaco was area general manager of HHM\u2019s NU Hotel in Brooklyn and Duane Street Hotel in Tribeca. Over the course of his career, Egipciaco has specialized in strategic operations, including the development and launch of several hotel brands. He was also area general manager for three GEM hotels in Lower Manhattan. and held various operational roles with Park Hyatt in New York City, where he started his hospitality career.<\/p>\n

Houston joins Quadrum as general manager of Arlo Hotels, where she will oversee the day-to-day operations of Arlo Nomad. Houston is charged with infusing the Arlo brand\u2019s core elements\u2014tech-integrated service, function-centric design, ease-of-use and urban exploration\u2014and will also focus on strengthening operations through employee engagement and creativity initiatives. During her 10 years in the hotel industry, Houston has managed the Duane Street Hotel within HHM\u2019s Independent Collection, and led staff development for King & Grove. Most recently, she assisted in the opening of Commune Hotel + Resorts (Commune) lifestyle hotels in Chicago, Cabo San Lucas and Playa del Carmen.<\/p>\n

Enany, a 20-year veteran of the restaurant industry, joins Quadrum as area director of food, beverage and entertainment for Arlo Hotels. Like Houston, Enany also worked at Commune, where he was responsible for conceptualizing the bar and dining experience, as well as the openings of hotels in New York, Chicago and Mexico. Prior to Commune, he served as director of operations at New York City-based EMM Group, where he oversaw concept creation, strategic development and day-to-day operations of six restaurants throughout New York City and Miami.<\/p>\n

\"Maggie<\/a>

Maggie Houston<\/p><\/div>\n

Berti joins Quadrum to lead culture, training and development and employee relations for Arlo Hotels. Over the past 10 years, she has worked in various human resource leadership positions for hospitality brands such as Starwood Hotels & Resorts<\/a>, Marriott International, SoHo Metropolitan Hotel & Residences<\/a>, Thompson Toronto Hotel<\/a> and, most recently, Commune.<\/p>\n

With Solomon\u2019s 15 years of revenue management experience in the hospitality industry, she will oversee Quadrum\u2019s revenue management and distribution for Arlo Hotels. This includes all aspects of the brand\u2019s revenue strategy such as the revenue tool kit, online partnerships and e-commerce.<\/p>\n

\"Jason<\/a>

Jason Enany<\/p><\/div>\n

As hotel manager of Arlo Hudson Square, Tang brings more than 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry to Quadrum. Throughout her career, she\u2019s primarily focused on front-of-house operations and luxury properties, most recently holding a position as director of front office at Starwood Hotel Group\u2019s Westin New York at Times Square.<\/p>\n
