Portland, Ore.<\/strong>\u2014A new Canopy by Hilton<\/a> hotel will open in the fall of 2017 among the cobblestone streets of the Pearl District on Portland’s Gallery Row. The property is developed by Washington, D.C.-based The Buccini\/Pollin Group<\/a>, and will be the brand’s first Rip City property.<\/p>\n

Introducing our guests to this exciting neighborhood via experiences such as visiting the world\u2019s largest bookstore, Powell\u2019s City of Books, the nearby Gerding Theater or enjoying one of several renowned art galleries.\u201d<\/p>\n

Phillips Realty Capital<\/a> arranged a $27.8 million construction loan for the hotel, while EB5 Capital<\/a> provided $15.5 million in preferred equity raised from 31 foreign investors seeking U.S. residency under the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program.<\/p>\n

The new 153-key hotel<\/a> will rise on the corner of 9th<\/sup> Avenue and VW Glisan at 425 NW. 9th<\/sup> Ave., in a once abandoned warehouse and railyards neighborhood that has undergone dramatic redevelopment to include shopping, dining and entertainment venues. Amenities will include 2,807 total square feet of meeting space that can be transformed to accommodate team building exercises, complimentary Wi-Fi, and Transfer Lounge. Canopy by Hilton Portland Pearl District will participate in Hilton HHonors\u00ae, the guest rewards program that allows members to earn Points & Miles\u00ae for the same stay and redeem points for free nights with No Blackout Dates at more than 4,600 hotels worldwide.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
