A purchase price was not disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>Cushman &amp; Wakefield now owns Oxford Commercial, which has been in business locally since 1993.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOxford Commercial has been an alliance partner to the firm since 2007, and is a great cultural fit that aligns well with the Cushman &amp; Wakefield ethos. We\u2019re pleased to welcome Oxford Commercial, as a fully owned operation under the Cushman &amp; Wakefield name,\u201d said Mike Smith, president, West Region, Cushman &amp; Wakefield.<\/p>\n<p>The acquisition comes about a year after Cushman &amp; Wakefield merged with DTZ, forming the third-largest real estate brokerage in the world with 43,000 employees in 60 countries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a priority for our firm to have a strong corporate presence in dynamic markets, and this acquisition brings an enhanced competitive edge to our client service support in Austin. We\u2019ve been looking at our partnerships on a market-by-market basis and making strategic moves to strengthen our platform,\u201d added Smith.<\/p>\n<p>Spence Hayes, co-founder &amp; managing partner at Oxford Commercial, will become managing principal under the new structure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOxford Commercial\u2019s founding partners purchased the company from Cushman &amp; Wakefield in 1993, so we already feel like part of the family.
