Whirlpool’s manufacturing plant in Findlay, Ohio<\/p><\/div>\n

Findlay, Ohio<\/strong>\u2014Whirlpool Corp.<\/a> broke ground this week on a $40.6 million expansion at its manufacturing facility<\/a> in Findlay, Ohio, and will also soon complete a $40 million project to expand operations at its dishwasher-manufacturing facility in Greenville, Ohio.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese investments in our manufacturing facilities are examples of our ongoing commitment to American manufacturing and reinforce our belief that the state of Ohio serves as a manufacturing center of excellence for appliances,\u201d James Keppler, Whirlpool Corporation vice president of integrated supply chain & quality, said in a prepared release. \u201cAs we celebrate the completion of our Greenville expansion, we\u2019re proud to break ground at our Findlay facility today and continue to invest in U.S. manufacturing and jobs.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Findlay project will add 86,400 square feet to the existing facility and will provide additional assembly capacity and material space. The project is intended to support strong consumer demand for Whirlpool-built products and enhance efficiencies of operations.<\/p>\n

The Greenville facility, which produces KitchenAid brand stand mixers and attachments, hand mixers and blenders, doubled in size thanks to the completed expansion.<\/p>\n

Since 2010, the company has invested more than $1 billion in new facilities and plant upgrades and employs approximately 23,000 U.S. manufacturing workers.<\/p>\n
