With the naming already in effect, Kevill joins the firm\u00a0as principal and managing director of U.S. capital markets.<\/p>\n<p>In his new position, Kevill will be based in Washington, D.C., and will mainly work on expanding the company\u2019s capital markets operations in the U.S., with a focus on the investment sales practice field.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHaving worked with John in the past, I am very familiar with his talents and dedication to superior client service. He has gained extensive experience with domestic and foreign clients while helping them solve a myriad of capital problems&#8230;Accordingly, he has developed terrific relationships with a number of North American and global clients and will offer the benefits of his quarter-century of industry experience to Avison Young at a critical juncture in our corporate growth,&#8221; said Earl Webb, president of U.S. operations for Avison Young, in prepared remarks.<\/p>\n<p>During his two and a half decades of industry experience, Kevill has executed nearly $25 billion in transactions. His client portfolio includes private equity firms, real estate investment trusts, pension funds, global financial institutions and sovereign-wealth funds. Most recently, Kevill was a managing director at\u00a0Eastdil Secured for almost five years. Prior to that, he worked for 17 years with JLL, having served the company as managing director.<\/p>\n<p>Kevill holds a B.A. in History from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Georgetown University\u2019s McDonough School of Business.
