The 92-key hotel at 1920 Collins Ave. is set to become a 56,000 square-foot boutique property in the center of the resort city.<\/p>\n<p>VOS Hospitality plans to refurbish the historic Art Deco property, originally built in 1936 and purchased by the partnership in 2012 for $7.5 million. In 2014, VOS and The B Group paid $7 million for the adjacent building at 230 20th St., formerly known as Santa Barbara. The property which will be integrated into the newly redeveloped hotel.<\/p>\n<p>The first building will retain the original Art Deco fa\u00e7ade and the historic lobby with modern updates, while the second building will be partially restored as a second guestroom tower with a five-story rear addition stepping back each floor to uncover eight unique private terraces. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shulman-design.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Shulman + Associates<\/a> were selected to oversee the architectural design.
