href=\"https:\/\/www.mortenson.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Mortenson Construction<\/a> recently completed a transformational athletic facility for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colorado.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">University of Colorado \u2013 Boulder<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The $177 million project is the result of a collaboration between Mortenson, <a href=\"https:\/\/populous.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Populous<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.martinmartin.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Martin\/Martin<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.me-engineers.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">ME Engineers<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.j3engineers.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">J3 Engineering<\/a>, and includes a plethora of state-of-the-art features and amenities for CU students:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A 212,000-square-foot expansion of Folsom Field;<\/li>\n<li>Champions Center\u2014the new home of CU Football, the Athletic Administration and many Olympic sport coaches;<\/li>\n<li>A new Sports Medicine and Performance Center;<\/li>\n<li>A 108,000-square-foot, net zero energy indoor practice facility for all sports programs, featuring a six-lane, 300-meter competition-venue track;<\/li>\n<li>534 parking spaces below the new indoor practice facility;<\/li>\n<li>The 106,000-square-foot Franklin Field outdoor grass practice field;<\/li>\n<li>The 37,000-square-foot renovation of the Dal Ward Athletic Center, which included the addition of an Olympic sport locker room, the expansion of the Academic Center, and a new, 11,285-square-foot weight room.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cOur vision of sustainable excellence is about transforming opportunity,\u201d Rick George, University of Colorado athletics director, said in a prepared statement. \u201cIn achieving this vision, each student-athlete that takes the field in black and gold will do so bolstered with the knowledge that we\u2019ve provided them with every resource necessary to be successful \u2013 both in competition and in life beyond graduation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The new facility also incorporates additional premium
