This site will play a vital role in enabling us to meet the needs of people living with diabetes in the U.S. for years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The new Novo Nordisk site is located directly adjacent to the company\u2019s 457,000-square-foot Clayton, N.C., facility, which was originally constructed in 1996 and has been expanded several times since.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to creating GLP-1 and insulin medicines, the plant also assembles and packages the Novo Nordisk\u2019s FlexPen and FlexTouch prefilled insulin devices for the U.S. market.<\/p>\n<p>The expansion has been reported to help in the creation of up to 700 new jobs, with an average salary of $68,000.
