San Diego<\/strong>\u2014A new partnership has emerged between Sungevity,<\/a> a leader in the global solar market, and CleanSpark,<\/a> a microgrid technology company, which combines CleanSpark\u2019s cyber-secure energy monitoring and management software with Sungevity\u2019s commercial solar offering. Furthermore, CleanSpark\u2019s technology will give Sungevity\u2019s customers access to real-time system monitoring.<\/p>\n

The partnership\u2019s debut took place in California in the fourth quarter of 2015, and is scheduled to fully roll out by the summer of 2016 in the same region. Additional markets will follow.<\/p>\n

“Sungevity has emerged as the industry’s leading solar platform company, recognized for its cutting-edge technology and unparalleled service to customers,” said Mike Firenze, CEO of CleanSpark. “We’re excited to include our proprietary monitoring and management technology with their offering, to provide Sungevity’s commercial customers with real-time, hands-on control of their electricity usage.”<\/p>\n

“The CleanSpark energy management and monitoring suite is the most sophisticated we’ve seen in the commercial market,” said Dave Dunlap, chief development officer of Sungevity. “Our commercial customers will now have access to millisecond interval usage and generation data, enabling them to make assessments and take immediate action to further cut their energy costs.”<\/p>\n

According to a prediction of GTM Research<\/a>, the U.S. microgrid market will increase 300 percent over the next five years, from $225 million in 2016 to $1 billion in 2020. The partnership will help popularize microgrid adoption while capitalizing on the growth in this segment through a standardized offering, as commercial and industrial solar customers leverage CleanSpark\u2019s and Sungevity\u2019s technologies to lower energy costs, increase energy independence, and reduce carbon emissions.<\/p>\n
