The name would honor Bernard Maybeck, the building&#8217;s architect. Revenue from the hospitality component would be used to fund improvements to the Palace. Other highlights include the rehabilitation of the Palace of Fine Arts building, new exhibition galleries, restoration of the facility&#8217;s theater, a full-service dining venue and a variety of transportation options.<\/p>\n<p>Located at 3301 Lyon St., the Palace of Fine Arts was renovated extensively in the 1960s and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.<\/p>\n<p>Joining TMG in the project team are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flynnholdings.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Flynn Properties<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.californiahistoricalsociety.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">California Historical Society<\/a> and the Exploratorium. Each of the participants in the proposal bring specialized experience. Flynn Properties has previously tackled the rehabilitation of the Carneros Inn in Napa and the Esperanza hotel in Cabo San Lucas.<\/p>\n<p>For its part, the California Historical Society will create exhibits related to the world&#8217;s fair in the renovated Exhibition Hall, while the Exploratorium will contribute educational projects that highlight the city\u2019s history and ecology.
