Choice Hotels International<\/a> has signed an agreement with locally based franchise partner Pearl Properties<\/a> for the development of a 206-key Cambria hotel & suites in Philadelphia, Pa.<\/p>\n

The property will be located at 219-225 S. Broad St. along the Avenue of The Arts, in the heart of Center City Philadelphia. Concord Hospitality<\/a> of Raleigh, N.C. will operate the new hotel, which is scheduled to open in 2017.<\/p>\n

Cambria hotels are designed to cater to both business travelers and tourists. These properties feature a large lobby to offer guests a more social atmosphere; oversized rooms with flexible spaces; and the latest technology that allows guests to stay connected.<\/p>\n

In line with the brand\u2019s offering, the new Cambria hotels & suites property in Philadelphia will feature a contemporary bistro, serving a menu of local specialties created by Chef Michael DeMaria, as well as a barista bar and first-class restaurant on the ground floor. Guests will have easy access to an array of dining and entertainment options, as well as numerous cultural and historic sites.<\/p>\n

Other Cambria properties located in Pennsylvania include Cambria Suites Pittsburgh at CONSOL Energy Center<\/a> and Cambria hotel & suites<\/a> in Washington.<\/p>\n

“This is a milestone for the Cambria brand as we continue to fuel our expansion in the upscale segment and focus on a culture of exceptional service,” said\u00a0Michael Murphy, senior vice president\u00a0of\u00a0upscale brands at Choice Hotels International. “To us, it’s not only about building great properties but also building a brand promise that we can deliver to all guests that makes every guest feel like a VIP.”<\/p>\n

Pearl Properties completed several hundred million dollars of investment real estate transactions over the past decade.\u00a0The company has completed several projects in Center City Philadelphia, including The Granary Apartments, The Sansom and 1700 Chestnut. Marquee properties Pearl currently owns in the city\u00a0include 1401 Walnut located in the heart of the Avenue of The Arts.<\/p>\n
