He brings more than 19 years of construction experience to the role, having spent his entire career with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usa.skanska.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Skanska<\/a>. He has been promoted from his former position as senior vice president of Skanska\u2019s San Antonio, Texas operations. In his previous role, he collaborated on projects such as Skanska\u2019s Tri-Service Research Laboratory and the Ambulatory Care Center at Lackland Air Force Base, both located in San Antonio. Cannon received a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.<\/p>\n<p>In his new role, Cannon will oversee all office functions in Georgia and South Carolina, including the implementation of management control systems, the preparation of value management studies, project cost estimates and field activities. \u201cHis diverse experience in construction aligns well with the market sectors that we are targeting for growth in Georgia and South Carolina, which include healthcare, higher education, corporate, mixed-use, manufacturing and industrial, \u201d said Scott MacLeod, co-chief operating officer for Skanska USA Building.<\/p>\n<p>Skanska has worked on several large-scale projects in Georgia, including Philips Arena, Georgia Dome, Piedmont Hospital, Grady Hospital, The High Museum of Art and Atlanta Marriott Marquis.
