The Boston Consulting Group<\/a> will relocate its New York City offices to 10 Hudson Yards, taking up 193,295 square feet of space on six floors in the 52-story tower in the fall of 2016.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are two critical reasons we signed,\u201d Ross Love, BCG\u2019s managing partner for New York, told Commercial Property Executive<\/em>. \u201cOne is the type of building we\u2019re able to move into, which is a modern building with large floor plates, great light and it enables us to design the type of office we want in a way not possible in more traditional buildings, and the second reason is just to be part of this development, which is really exciting.\u201d<\/p>\n

BCG is expected to move more than 500 employees into the building on floors 42 to 47, and plans on using the additional space for an expected growth in its employee base over the next five years.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re incorporating our new sister company, BCG Digital Ventures, into the space and we\u2019ll have room to grow,\u201d Love said. \u201cAs far as the space fitting our philosophy, it\u2019s about creating a much more open environment, not just for our staff so they can interact with each other more effectively, but for our clients, who we expect to spend more time in our offices.\u201d<\/p>\n

Located at the corner of 10th Avenue and the north side of 30th Street, 10 Hudson Yards is a 1.7-million-square-foot tower and is now more than 90 percent committed to a roster of tenants that also includes Coach Inc.; L\u2019Or\u00e9al US; SAP; VaynerMedia; Time Warner Inc.; KKR; Boies, Schiller & Flexner; and Neiman Marcus.<\/p>\n

When completed, the LEED-Platinum designed tower will stand 895 feet tall and offer state-of-the-art commercial offices, ground-floor retail space, and a direct connection to the one-million-square-foot shops and restaurants at Hudson Yards.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s clearly a fast-moving and fast-developing neighborhood with all the work going on there and we\u2019re excited to be moving there with a lot of other like-minded people and companies,\u201d Love said. \u201cWe\u2019re also excited to be part of a neighborhood that has lots of creative people and those who think out of the box the way we do, and will be looking for ways to incorporate those people and ideas in the office as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hudson Yards is being developed by Related Companies and Oxford Properties Group. Ten Hudson Yards will feature panoramic views and is one of the most unique buildings in the city, owing to its integration with the celebrated High Line, which passes through the structure of the building and will directly connect to the six-acre public plaza.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
