The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/property-types\/hospitality\/starwood-closes-acquisition-of-7-malls-from-taubman-for-1-4b\/1004105800.html\" target=\"_blank\">transaction<\/a> was part of a larger seven-property portfolio acquisition valued at more than $1.4 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Plans now call for a $100 million redevelopment effort meant to pump new life into the dated space. The redesign project will include the addition of a new main entrance facing the Dallas North Tollway, and the replacement of a 125,000-square-foot vacant building with a modern structure. The property located at 6121 W. Park Blvd. will also include a new, contemporary office and hotel tower.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThroughout the country, consumers are looking for conveniences in one space and we\u2019re seeing the same need for those synergies in Plano,\u201d Scott Wolstein, CEO of SRP, said in a statement. \u201cPlano deserves a better, more accessible option from the tollway and its new \u2018front door\u2019 will be just the start.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Shops at Willow Bend is situated at the intersection of West Park Boulevard and the Dallas North Tollway, and is home to more than 100 retailers including Apple Store, Macy\u2019s, Dillard\u2019s, Crate &amp; Barrel, and Neiman Marcus.
