Hotel Phillips, Kansas City<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n

Arbor Lodging Partners<\/a>, through an affiliate, has acquired the iconic Hotel Phillips<\/a> from Marcus Corp.<\/a> of Milwaukee. The financial aspects of the transaction were not disclosed.<\/p>\n

Once the tallest building in Kansas City, the art-deco hotel originally opened in 1931, flaunting a Midwestern ambiance. The property was listed on the National Registry of Historic Places in 1979. Currently the hotel offers a full-service guest experience, featuring approximately 11,000 square feet of flexible meeting and pre-function space, as well as a restaurant and bar called 12 Baltimore.<\/p>\n

The 217-key full-service hotel located in the Power & Light district at 106 W. 12th<\/sup> St. will undergo a series of renovations. NVN Hotels, an affiliate of Arbor, will manage the property throughout the renovation process. Upon completion, the hotel will join the Curio Collection by Hilton.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur hotel platform is in expansion mode; we want our hotels to offer communal spaces to work and socialize; healthy, local selections of food; and for our guests to have an authentic and satisfying experience,\u201d added Arbor Lodging Partners principal Sheenal Patel, who is also CEO of NVN Hotels.<\/p>\n
