The massive redevelopment project is one of 10\u00a0to be awarded a prestigious ULI Global Award for Excellence on October 6.<\/p>\n<p>Now in its 37<sup>th<\/sup> year, ULI\u2019s Global Awards for Excellence honors projects that achieve a high standard of excellence in design, construction, planning, and management, and is one of the land use industry\u2019s most distinguished awards. This year, 10\u00a0global projects were selected as recipients of the award, five of them in the U.S.: <a href=\"https:\/\/unionstationindenver.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Denver Union Station<\/a>, Devon Energy Center in Oklahoma City, 12<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue Arts in Seattle, City Market at O in Washington, D.C., and St. Joseph\u2019s Campus in Oakland, Calif.<\/p>\n<p>Denver Union Station first opened in 1881 and is the main railway station and central transportation hub in the city. Located at 17<sup>th<\/sup> and Wynkoop streets in the LoDo district, the station underwent a major renovation in 2012, and re-opened in 2014 with the addition of a new Crawford Hotel, several restaurants and retailers, and a train hall. The redevelopment project is the result of a collaboration between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eastwest-partners.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">East West Partners<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.continuumpartners.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Continuum Partners<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trammellcrow.com\/EN\/Pages\/home.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Trammell Crow Co.<\/a>, Union Station Alliance, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.som.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Skidmore, Owings &amp; Merrill<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kiewit.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Kiewit<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aecom.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">AECOM<\/a>, and Hargreaves Associates.
