\"Dell<\/a><\/p>\n

Dell<\/a> recently announced its intention to invest $125 billion in China over the next five years in an bid to grow in the world\u2019s second-largest economy.<\/p>\n

The Austin-based company, which has been selling its products in China since 1995, wants\u00a0to step up its local research and development efforts. Dell plans to build a facility featuring IT solutions tailored for the Chinese market and will develop an artificial intelligence laboratory in partnership with the Chinese Academy of Science.<\/p>\n

Dell also announced a partnership with Kingsoft Corp.<\/a> on big data and cloud technology and services to support China\u2019s national \u201cInternet+\u201d strategy. \u201cThe Internet is the new engine for China\u2019s future economic growth and has unlimited potential,\u201d Chief Executive Michael Dell said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cDell will embrace the principle of \u2018In China, for China\u2019 and closely integrate Dell China strategies with national policies,\u201d Dell added.\u00a0The strategy will contribute to the imports and exports, sustaining more than one million jobs in China, the company estimates.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
