The company acquired the four-star property from owner Tony Criss for \u00a313.8 million ($21.6 million) in cash, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/news\/business\/liverpools-beatles-themed-hard-days-9828729\" rel=\"nofollow\"><em>Liverpool Echo<\/em><\/a> reported.  The 110-key hotel had been marketed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbre.com\/EN\/Pages\/Home.aspx\" rel=\"nofollow\">CBRE<\/a>, according to the newspaper.<\/p>\n<p>The boutique hotel opened in 2008 on N. John St., in Liverpool\u2019s now-popular Cavern Quarter. Housed in the Grade II-listed Central Buildings, which was completed in 1884, the hotel is located nearby the iconic Cavern Club, where The Beatles performed more than 290 times.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHaving been crowned Capital of Culture in 2008, the city is twinned culturally and economically with Shanghai and is home to the world famous Liverpool Football Club,\u201d said Aloysius Lee, CEO of Millennium Hotels and Resorts in a prepared statement. \u201cThe city continues to maintain its prominent stance by investing in an array of forward-thinking regeneration projects, while firmly retaining its Beatles legacy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Hard Days Night hotel has received the \u2018TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence\u2019 for four consecutive years, and features exclusive artwork by famous Beatles artists such as Sir Peter Blake and Klaus Voorman.
