Over the next decade or so, the 45-acre port-owned land will be converted into a dynamic live-work-play community centerpiece.<\/p>\n<p>The vision plan calls for the development of more than 9 million square feet of mixed-use space and $1.5 billion in private investment. It builds upon the area\u2019s ongoing revitalization, maximizing the potential of the site. The preliminary plan features a mix of private development and public amenities. This includes residential, retail, office and hotel space, as well as a central park, marina and multipurpose cruise ship terminal. A key element of the plan is a pair of landmark towers, marked out to join the list of the tallest constructions on Florida\u2019s West Coast.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-caption alignleft\" style=\"width: 310px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2015\/08\/Port-Tampa-Bay-redevelopment-rendering-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-358030\" title=\"Port Tampa Bay Park\" src=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2015\/08\/Port-Tampa-Bay-redevelopment-rendering-2.jpg\" alt=\"Port Tampa Bay Park\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">The central park<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>The plan is the result of PTB\u2019s partnership with the City of Tampa and the Channel District Community Redevelopment Agency. It is part of a larger overall plan for the 5,000-acre port over the next two decades. The announcement of a more detailed master plan is expected in the next year.<\/p>\n<p>Tampa Bay Lightning owner Jeff Vinik\u2019s company, Strategic Property Partners also has plans to turn 40 acres near Amalie Arena into a similar urban neighborhood.
