{"id":1004124454,"date":"2015-08-03T03:36:27","date_gmt":"2015-08-03T11:36:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/?p=356726"},"modified":"2020-04-05T23:21:30","modified_gmt":"2020-04-06T07:21:30","slug":"clippership-wharf-rides-east-bostons-housing-wave","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/clippership-wharf-rides-east-bostons-housing-wave\/","title":{"rendered":"Clippership Wharf Rides East Boston\u2019s Housing Wave"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>By Veronica Grecu, Associate Editor<\/em><\/p>\n<p>An underutilized 12-acre site on East Boston\u2019s waterfront that has been vacant for the past 25 years is getting a new lease on life.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_356727\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\" style=\"width: 310px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2015\/07\/Clippership-Wharf-East-Boston.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-356727\" title=\"Clippership Wharf - East Boston\" src=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2015\/07\/Clippership-Wharf-East-Boston.jpg\" alt=\"Clippership Wharf - East Boston\" width=\"300\" height=\"196\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Clippership Wharf &#8211; East Boston<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Earlier this month, the <a title=\"Boston Redevelopment Authority\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bostonredevelopmentauthority.org\/\" >Boston Redevelopment Authority<\/a> (BRA) green lighted an amended development plan for a $225 million residential project submitted by a joint venture between Noddle Island Limited Partnership and Lend Lease Development.<\/p>\n<p>Dubbed Clippership Wharf, the 745,896-square-foot development calls for the construction of four six-story residential buildings comprising 492 housing units in a mix of condominiums and apartments, ground-floor commercial space and parking.<\/p>\n<p>According to project plans, the residential component at Clippership Wharf will encompass 525,000 square feet, while the retail space will amount to 30,200 square feet across the four buildings.
