Brickell City Tower<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

International transit network\u00a0Uber<\/a>\u00a0has leased 9,333 square feet of space for its new Miami headquarters. The\u00a0South Florida Business Journal<\/em>\u00a0also took 6,373 square feet.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Lamex Agrifoods<\/a>, Inlingua Language School<\/a> and Verizon<\/a> have signed lease renewals, expansions and extensions at the 33-story office building in the Brickell Financial District.<\/p>\n

Blanca Commercial Real Estate<\/a> represented the owners in the transactions with Danet Linares and Alexander Cahlin serving as exclusive leasing agents. The combined leases account for more than 23,449 square feet; financial terms of the agreements were not disclosed.<\/p>\n

The 287,000-square-foot office tower at 80 SW 8th St. is owned by a joint venture between Banyan Street Capital LLC<\/a> and Crocker Partners<\/a>. It is located across the street from Metrorail Station, Publix, the new Brickell City Centre<\/a> and Mary Brickell Village with convenient access off Interstate 95. The building has earned LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council and an Energy Star rating in acknowledgment of its energy efficient operations.<\/p>\n

Shay Pope of CBRE<\/a> spoke for Uber, while Tere Blanca of Blanca Commercial Real Estate and Chase Monroe of JLL<\/a> represented the South Florida Business Journal<\/em>. Andres del Corral of Blanca Commercial Real Estate acted on behalf of Inlingua Language School\u2014the Lamex Agrifoods and Verizon leases did not involve co-brokers.<\/p>\n
