The Walsh Group<\/a>, which is among the largest builders of mass transit and rail projects in the US. The company has worked on projects like the SunRail in Orlando, the I-95 Overland Bridge and the I-10\/I-95 Interchange in Jacksonville, as well as the I-4 Lee Roy Selmon Crosstown Connector in Tampa. Archer Western is also building the people mover between the North and South terminals at Orlando International Airport. Archer Western is also responsible for construction management and general-contracting services on the Miami-Orlando intercity passenger-rail project\u2019s Miami-to-West-Palm-Beach segment, including safety improvements and upgrades, track work, rail signalization and structural work.<\/p>\nAs announced by the developers, the site work in Orlando will create 75 direct jobs, in addition to a number of opportunities for subcontractors and suppliers to join the project. The intercity passenger trains are expected to begin service from the airport in late 2017.<\/p>\n
