The former cable shops and warehouses are being replaced by a landmark development offering 198,347 square feet of residential accommodation.<\/p>\n<p>The 1.2 acre site will hold 272 homes set within landscape grounds that include a green square bordered by an allotment garden, butterfly garden, picnic area, and rope garden designed by architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris. The centerpiece of the development will be the four apartment buildings \u2013 an 18-story tower and three eight-story buildings \u2013 which will offer 256 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments and penthouses ranging from 55 square feet to 1,200 square feet.<\/p>\n<p>Bob Weston, chairman &amp; managing director of Weston Homes said: \u201cWeston Homes and Cathedral Group are transforming this first class Greenwich peninsula site into a landmark residential address, which will deliver desperately needed homes to the local community and Londoners from further afield. This project is a flagship London development for the joint venture partners and has a luxurious specification with a range of option choices for the designer fixtures and fittings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prices are anticipated to start from \u00a3300,000 ($468,000) for a one bedroom apartment.
