Its most recent project is one of the largest residential developments in the District in recent years. It is also seen as an important element in the revitalization of the southern part of the Eckington neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to a recent report from <a href=\"https:\/\/dc.urbanturf.com\/articles\/blog\/boundary_companies_jbg_propose_691-unit_project_for_eckington\/10018\" rel=\"nofollow\" ><em>UrbanTurf<\/em><\/a>, JBG has joined forces with the Boundary Cos., a real estate investment firm founded by John Wilkinson with the intention of building four residential buildings, with almost 50,000 square feet of retail space, on what was once an industrial train yard near the intersection of New York and Florida avenues, N.E. The four buildings will be connected and will offer a total of 691 units. The project will also include 292 parking spaces. Its cost was not disclosed. Eric Colbert &amp; Associates is the architect.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">JBG and Boundary recently filed documents with the city\u2019s zoning commission. The tallest of the buildings, named Flower Center North, will rise to 110 feet. The remaining three \u2014 called Flower Center South, State Farm North and State Farm South \u2014 will all have the same height: 75 feet. Between the four of them, they will feature 49 studios, 126 junior one-beds, 229 one-bedrooms, 190 two-bedrooms, 21 three-bedrooms and 76 multi-level units.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The developers also plan to create an alley between the buildings. It will be mostly for pedestrian use and similar to the Dutch <em>woonerf<\/em>. A woonerf is a street concept where the streetscape is shared among cars, pedestrians and cyclists.
