The redevelopment of the former Sears space includes about 150,000 square feet and 11 [new retailers] in total, once the restaurant district is finished off.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CPE<\/strong>: What drove CBL\u2019s acquisition and subsequent redevelopment of the former Sears building?<\/p>\n<p><strong>CBL<\/strong>: CoolSprings Galleria caters a growing upscale demographics in the Franklin\/Nashville area.\u00a0 Replacing the Sears space with a mix of high-end fashion, quality home furnishings and impressive fine dining was a huge enhancement to the already dynamic retail hub. The addition of key retailers further solidifies CoolSprings Galleria as the dominant super-regional shopping destination in the Franklin\/Nashville area.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_352964\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\" style=\"width: 310px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2015\/06\/CoolSprings-Galleria-new-entrance.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-352964\" title=\"CoolSprings Galleria new entrance\" src=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2015\/06\/CoolSprings-Galleria-new-entrance.jpg\" alt=\"CoolSprings Galleria \" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">CoolSprings Galleria<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>CPE<\/strong>: What would you say is the new component\u2019s defining feature?<\/p>\n<p><strong>CBL<\/strong>:\u00a0Having the market\u2019s first American Girl has a huge impact on this mall.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CPE<\/strong>: Does CBL have any further plans regarding CoolSpings Galleria?<\/p>\n<p><strong>CBL<\/strong>: Yes, we are finishing up the restaurant district off the end of the former Sears location with openings beginning as early as this fall and spring of 2016.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CPE<\/strong>: How would you characterize Nashville\u2019s retail market?<\/p>\n<p><strong>CBL<\/strong>: In a word, \u201cBooming\u201d.\u00a0 Williamson County, home to CoolSprings Galleria, boasts Tennessee\u2019s highest per capita income and holds an impressive rank as one of the top 20 wealthiest counties in the U.S.\u00a0 The affluent city of Brentwood has a median household income of $129,771 and a family household income of $143,746, and is the wealthiest zip code in the state.
