Hooters of America L.L.C. is expanding its iconic brand domestically and internationally and has tapped Colliers International to be its exclusive real estate advisor as it rolls out its aggressive global growth plan.<\/p>\n

\u201cColliers\u2019 experience in market analysis, site selection and overall management of retail and restaurant expansions complements Hooters\u2019 long-term strategy for smart growth across the globe, and we look forward to advising on the company\u2019s expansion,\u201d Bob Browning, Colliers vice president for retail services, said in a news release.<\/p>\n

\u201cHooters is well positioned to capitalize on today\u2019s rising trend of concept restaurant expansions as the brand uses a fine-tuned approach to growth that follows its corporate philosophy,\u201d Anjee Solanki, national director, retail services, Colliers International, said in the release. \u201cIn our work with Hooters, we will leverage our extensive global and local teams to ensure target markets and sites present an ideal long-term match for the brand, while also propelling it for ongoing growth.\u201d<\/p>\n

The franchisor and operator of more than 400 Hooters restaurants in 42 states and 26 countries, the 32-year-old company is focusing on expanding both in the United States and abroad and freshening up its brand and restaurant design. Over the past 21 months, the company has remodeled nearly 60 corporate-owned restaurants and expects to continue remodeling at least 25 per year. The new modern design concept comes as the company opened 10 new international locations and has plans to open 30 restaurants across Southeast Asia over the next six years. The largest international location is slated to open later this year in Pattaya, Thailand. In the U.S., Hooters opened new locations in Douglasville, Ga., and Morehead City, N.C., and is planning the world\u2019s largest Hooters for the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are implementing an aggressive growth plan with the intent to open 150 new locations around the world in the next five years,\u201d Mark Whittle, senior vice president, global development, Hooters of America, said in the joint release. \u201cPartnering with a leading commercial real estate company like Colliers International was a strategic move for Hooters. We tremendously value Colliers\u2019 global reach and expertise, balanced with the ability to act nimbly in local markets.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to its own corporate expansion plans, the company is also actively seeking qualified franchise partner to open new restaurants in markets in the U.S. and in international cities.
