The project is expected to significantly improve the guest experience for the gaming and entertainment destination.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The Thistledown horse racetrack has been a fixture in the Cleveland suburb of North Randall since 1931. Rock Ohio Caesars, a joint venture between Dan Gilbert\u2019s Rock Gaming and Caesars Entertainment Corp., invested $88 million to renovate the property and turn it into a new racino.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The facility <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/cities\/cleveland\/thistledown-racino-to-open-on-april-9\/1004070031.html\"><em>opened<\/em><\/a> its doors to the public on April 9, 2013. It features 57,000 square feet of gaming space, as well as new dining and nightlife options. And now, the owners plan to bring even more amenities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Plans call for the construction of a parking garage with 1,000 spaces on the west side of the building. It will be connected directly to the racino floor. A new 150-seat restaurant will be added, as well as a pasta bar, a signature bar with an 8,000-square-foot entertainment area, and a new guest lobby. The high-limit gaming area and the VIP lounge will be expanded, and about 250 video lottery terminals will be added to the existing 1,283.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Construction is expected to take about a year. The $70 million project is scheduled to be completed in April 2016.
