\"\"<\/a>Two new hotels opened their doors to the public in April in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Together, the Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner Center and the AC Hotel Washington, DC at National Harbor bring almost 500 new rooms to the region.<\/p>\n

Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner Center is the first new-build, full-service hotel to open in Tysons Corner in more than 20 years. The project is the result of a partnership between Hyatt Hotels and Macerich, and is part of the latter\u2019s mixed-use urban expansion at Tysons Corner Center<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The new hotel stands 18 stories tall. It feature 300 guest rooms and suites, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a restaurant and bar, and more than 15,000 square feet of meeting space, including the 7,000-square-foot Regency Ballroom, with space for more than 600 guests.<\/p>\n

The AC Hotel Washington, DC at National Harbor is only the third of the AC Hotels by Marriott to open in the United States, and the first in the Northeast. Standing eight stories tall, the property features 192 guest rooms and six suites, 3,700-square-feet of meeting space and a fitness center. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi, an AC Kitchen, an AC Library and an AC Lounge.<\/p>\n

The hotel is owned by Ryman Hospitality Properties. According to Marriott, its opening has created nearly 50 new jobs. More than half of them are occupied by people living in Prince George\u2019s County.<\/p>\n
