The Grain Belt Apartments<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The last phase of the redevelopment of the historic Grain Belt Brewery complex in northeast Minneapolis is now complete. On April 16, Everwood Development officially opened The Grain Belt Apartments at 1215 NE. Marshall St., on the site of the former Grain Belt Office Building, the Star Tribune reports.<\/a><\/p>\n

The historic building at the corner of Marshall Street and 13th<\/sup> Avenue was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. The building dates back to 1977, when it was awarded landmark status by the city of Minneapolis, according to the Star Tribune<\/a>. The facility closed down its operations in 1975, when the brewery moved to St. Louis. In recent years, the historic site has undergone massive redevelopment, and it now includes a public library, artist studios, architectural offices and Park Board facilities.<\/p>\n

Designed by Bloomington-based Kaas Wilson Architects, the multifamily community includes two four-story buildings featuring 150 luxury rental apartments, and totals 220,514 square feet of space. The community incorporates an outdoor plaza, business center, 24-hour fitness center, clubhouse, TV lounge and bar, and a unique Grain Belt Friendship Room. Apartment amenities include balconies, air conditioning, stainless-steel appliances, washer and dryer and hardwood-like floors, and is pet-friendly.<\/p>\n

Located in Minneapolis\u2019 historic Sheridan neighborhood, the community is in close proximity to a variety of retail and entertainment destinations, schools, parks and fitness gyms.<\/p>\n
