{"id":1004116307,"date":"2015-03-26T10:10:46","date_gmt":"2015-03-26T18:10:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/?p=336201"},"modified":"2020-04-01T02:40:02","modified_gmt":"2020-04-01T10:40:02","slug":"200-high-end-apartments-retail-space-coming-to-midtown-detroit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/200-high-end-apartments-retail-space-coming-to-midtown-detroit\/","title":{"rendered":"200 High-End Apartments, Retail Space Coming to Midtown Detroit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>By Veronica Grecu, Associate Editor<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">New renderings of a high-end mixed-use complex planned for Midtown Detroit have been unveiled by Broder &amp; Sachse, the real estate investment, development and management firm behind the $8 million redevelopment of The Albert.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_336203\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\" style=\"width: 310px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2015\/03\/The-Scott-@-Brush-Park-Midtown-Detroit-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-336203\" title=\"The Scott at Brush Park - Midtown Detroit \" src=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2015\/03\/The-Scott-@-Brush-Park-Midtown-Detroit-2.jpg\" alt=\"The Scott @ Brush Park - Midtown Detroit \" width=\"300\" height=\"161\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Scott @ Brush Park &#8211; Midtown Detroit<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><a title=\"Detroit Free Press\" href=\"https:\/\/www.freep.com\/story\/money\/real-estate\/2015\/03\/23\/new-apartment-building-planned-midtown-brush-park\/70348164\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Detroit Free Press<\/a> <\/em>reported that the project\u2014which will be marketed as The Scott at Brush Park\u2014will be built on a vacant, 2.6-acre parcel partly owned by the Fraternal Civic Center Group and located at Woodward Avenue and Erskine Street in Midtown\u2019s Brush Park neighborhood, one of the historic areas in the city. Designed to target mid- to higher-end income renters, the five-story apartment building will include 200 market-rate residences ranging from studios to three-bedroom units. According to the same news source, rents at The Scott are expected to be consistent with the area\u2019s rate, starting at below $900 for a studio and reaching $2,900 for a three-bedroom apartment, with a small number of units set aside for low-income residents. The Scott\u2019s commercial component will encompass 15,000 square feet of street-level retail space, a low-grade parking garage with 300 spaces, a swimming pool, as well as a vegetated rooftop terrace.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Construction at the site is scheduled to break ground this summer and wrap up by late 2016. <em><a title=\"MLive.com\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mlive.com\/news\/detroit\/index.ssf\/2015\/03\/updated_renderings_released_fo.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">MLive.com<\/a><\/em> said that Woodward and Erskine, LLC, a real estate venture of Broder &#038; Sachse, serves as the project\u2019s developer, while Neumann Smith Architecture designed the building. All leasing operations at The Scott will be handled by Broder &amp; Sachse.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Additionally, in an effort to preserve Midtown\u2019s historic architectural features, the development team also plans to retain the nearby Fraternal Civic Center (FCC) building, a century-old structure that housed the non-profit.
