\"\"<\/a>The 137-key Doubletree Suites by Hilton Hotel in Indianapolis-Carmel has a new owner.<\/p>\n

Waramaug LS Hotels of Boca Raton, Fla. has recently purchased the three-story property, with plans to rebrand it as Homewood Suites.<\/p>\n

Waramaug expects the conversion to last for one year, and during this time, it plans to continue to operate the hotel as a Doubletree. The $6.5 million renovation project will also include the installation of kitchens in every suite, the company announced.<\/p>\n

Besides its collection of spacious suites, the hotel offers 3,000 square feet of meeting space throughout six meeting rooms, a three-meal restaurant serving American classics, an updated 24-hour fitness room, as well as an indoor\/outdoor swimming pool.<\/p>\n

The 3.9-acre property, which will continue to be managed by Interstate Hotels & Resorts, is conveniently situated on the Meridian Street corridor, as it connects downtown Indianapolis to Carmel. So far, it represents the only full-service all-suite hotel in the market. It is also in the midst of a vibrant arts and entertainment district, with easy access to nearby shopping and dining venues.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing located in the largest city in the state as well as being in the capital of Indiana, this property clearly benefits from occupying space in the one of the most accessible cities in America. Tourism is a vital part of the Indianapolis economy and the city regularly hosts conventions, major sporting events and leisure travelers as the \u2018Crossroads of America,\u2019\u201d Paul Nussbaum, Waramaug LS Hotels\u2019 founder and managing partner, said in a news release.<\/p>\n
