River Point<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Baby formula maker Mead Johnson Nutrition is leaving Glenview, Ill., behind and relocating its corporate headquarters to River Point<\/a>, a new high-rise currently under construction in Chicago\u2019s West Loop. The company will occupy three floors comprising approximately 75,000 square feet of office space as of mid-2017.<\/p>\n

The 52-story, 1.05 million-square-foot building at 444 W. Lake St. is owned by Quebec-based Ivanhoe Cambridge and is being developed by Hines. Connecticut-based Pickard Chilton Architects designed the building, which has been pre-certified LEED Gold.<\/p>\n

\u201cCreating the perfect feel of a suburban campus in an urban setting is why we believe Mead Johnson will be right at home at River Point,\u201d said Greg Van Schaack, senior managing director at Hines. \u201cOur first-class amenities, which include a 1.5-acre public park, combined with the latest in technology allow us the privilege of being a part of their strategic vision for years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n

River Point will incorporate a 1.5-acre public park and landscaped river walk, a 5,000-square-foot fitness center, a 10,000-square-foot restaurant with elevated terrace, a conference center, 150 parking spaces, as well as a variety of retail options. According to Mayor Rahm Emanuel\u2019s press office, Mead Johnson\u2019s relocation to River Point will add 200 jobs to the city.<\/p>\n

Cushman & Wakefield Inc. represented Mead Johnson in the transaction, while building ownership was represented by Hines. Other tenants at River Point include law firms McDermott, Will & Emery LLP and DLA Piper LLC<\/a>.<\/p>\n
