\"\"<\/a>Continental Real Estate Cos. has landed the largest lease of 2014 in Miami\u2019s Central Business District. Stearns Weaver Miller renewed its contract at Museum Tower for 10 years and expanded the footprint of its headquarters by 7,000 square feet. The law firm now occupies 110,000 square feet in the Class-A office building at 150 West Flagler Street.<\/p>\n

CREC President and Co-Founder Carol Brooks and Shareholder and Senior Vice President Steven Hurwitz brokered the transaction on behalf of the law firm, which has been a permanent tenant since 1987. The building\u2019s ownership, Gaedeke Holdings Ltd., was represented by Kirk Fetter, vice president of Dallas-based Gaedeke Group. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.<\/p>\n

The tenant is a full-service law firm providing a wide range of services to business and government agency clients across the U.S. Stearns Weaver Miller employs over 110 attorneys at its offices located in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa and Tallahassee. Since moving to Museum Tower, the firm has made comprehensive improvements to the rented space, including the addition of a simulated courtroom. The company plans to implement further upgrades in the near future.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter evaluating buildings in Miami\u2019s urban core, we decided that expanding and upgrading our current space at Museum Tower was the best long-term move for our firm,\u201d\u00a0 <\/em>Shareholder and Managing Director Rick Schatz of Stearns Weaver Miller said in a recent news release.<\/p>\n
