\"\"<\/a>George R.R. Martin continues to pencil his role of protector of art while developing his landlord skills in the city of Santa Fe. After purchasing and bringing back to life the long-abandoned Jean Cocteau Cinema<\/a>, he repeats the move by acquiring the former Silva Lanes property located at 1352 Rufina Circle in south Santa Fe.<\/p>\n

The former bowling center is almost 33,000 square feet on about 2.5 acres, with a generous parking lot that can hold 165 cars. The bowling alley has closed in early 2009 due to bankruptcy and has remained empty until Martin\u2019s intervention. The price of the transaction remains undisclosed, but real estate appraisals evaluate the property in the high six figures.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The space won\u2019t be renovated to revive the bowling activity, but will be entirely leased to Meow Wolf<\/a>, a collective of artists that produces art experiences. The renowned writer believes that the unconventional art gallery will be a \u201creal boost to local tourism, the arts scene, something kids of all ages will enjoy.\u201d However, the success of the art space falls on Meow Wolf, as R.R Martin will act solely as silent partner.<\/p>\n
