On Nov. 5, the health system and the healthcare company said they have finalized the joint venture and offered details of the facility.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Located in the Keystone Parke office campus at I-71 and Dana Avenue, TriHealth Rehabilitation Hospital will have 60 beds and will specialize in treating patients suffering from brain and spinal cord injuries, stroke, neurological disorders and musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Expected to open in 2016, the facility will employ 180 therapists, nurses, and other specialists. Select Medical&#8217;s Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in New Jersey will support clinical program development, specialized services, enhanced access to research and clinical education. The cost of the project was not disclosed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Select Medical will manage the new facility. Until it is open, the company will manage the 16-bed and 30-bed units at Bethesda North Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital, where TriHealth currently provides acute rehab services. Select Medical also leases space at Good Samaritan and Bethesda North for its Select Specialty Hospitals, which are long-term acute care facilities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;We will better serve the community by combining our facilities and expertise at a single, larger, newer location,&#8221; John Prout, President &amp; CEO of TriHealth, said in a statement. &#8220;No one knows how to provide acute rehabilitation services better than Select Medical and we are honored to partner with it to open this exciting, leading-edge facility.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;TriHealth Rehabilitation Hospital will serve Cincinnati&#8217;s growing need for inpatient rehabilitation. More people will have access to top- level care, which will build on the patient-focused rehab services already offered at TriHealth,&#8221; added David S. Chernow, President &amp; CEO of Select Medical. &#8220;TriHealth has a strong reputation for excellent medical care and our joint venture will only enhance that.
