The Swig Co. has appointed Ken Perry as its new COO, succeeding Jeanne Myerson, who had held the position since 1997.<\/p>\n

Perry has more than 30 years of diversified experience in commercial real estate with demonstrated success in value creation, successful investment realization, and strategic planning.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m looking forward to the chance to continue the growth and success of the company by expanding our investment platform with existing\u00a0and prospective\u00a0partners,\u201d Perry told Commercial Property Executive<\/i>.<\/p>\n

Before the appointment, Perry served as Swig Co.\u2019s chief officer and director of asset management, responsible for capital transactions and asset management for the company\u2019s real estate investment portfolio. In that role, Perry also acted as the company\u2019s primary representative with investment partners.<\/p>\n

He joined the Swig Co. in 1998, and previously worked as the director of asset services, Northern California, for Cushman & Wakefield.\u00a0He\u2019s also held senior positions with Northern California regional developers Bedford Properties and Norland Properties and began his career in the office-leasing group for Cushman & Wakefield of Colorado.<\/p>\n

According to Perry, valuations in the company\u2019s target markets\u2014California and New York\u2014are\u00a0currently at historically\u00a0high levels, and Swig is enjoying those benefits in its operating properties.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the same time, we want to continue to very selectively pursue additional assets to\u00a0fuel further\u00a0growth,\u201d he said. \u201cWith a long-term investment horizon, and our fundamental operating expertise, our strategy will be to uncover good risk-adjusted return opportunities, and to continue our recent growth model of investing side by side with like-minded investors.\u201d<\/p>\n

Perry received his MBA from the International Management Institute in Geneva, Switzerland.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnder Jeanne\u2019s steady, experienced leadership,\u00a0this company has transitioned from a family real estate business to become a professionally managed investment venture with a strong reputation, solid investment partners, sound financial condition and a robust national portfolio,\u201d Janice Sears, Swig Co.\u2019s chairman of the board, said in a company statement. \u201cLike Jeanne, Ken is a highly regarded professional with a deep understanding of the real estate industry and a demonstrated success in value creation and investment realization.\u201d<\/p>\n

Myerson recently joined the board of the Boston-based Berkshire Group, but will continue to serve as a strategic advisor to the Swig Co. to help foster a successful leadership transition.<\/p>\n
