In a little under two years, Amazon has grown its California operations to nearly five-million-square-feet, created thousands of jobs and is actively hiring for 2,500 full-time positions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are proud to be hiring for more than 2,500 full-time jobs in California that offer wages 30 percent higher than traditional retail stores and include comprehensive benefits on day one, bonuses and stock awards,\u201d Mike Roth, Amazon\u2019s vice president of North America operations, said in a company release. \u201cWe have found great talent in the state and we\u2019re excited to be growing quickly to serve our customers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Amazon employees at the Redlands fulfillment center will pick, pack and ship large items to customers such as big-screen televisions or kayaks<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Inland Empire has benefitted from e-commerce, which is driving shorter delivery times and changing the landscape of distribution networks to locate closer to major populations,\u201d Welch said. \u201cWith infill markets in Los Angeles more or less built-out and few available land sites or existing facilities large enough to accommodate big box e-commerce users, the Inland Empire has become the new \u2018go-to\u2019 destination for many of those users.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trammell Crow Company will manage construction of the new fulfillment center.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Amazon.com Inc. will occupy a 700,000-square-foot fulfillment center in the Redlands, Calif., signing with building owner Clarion Partners.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":451,"featured_media":1004102298,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[21784,21808,21748,21742,15],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-1004102295","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-brokerage","category-featured","category-industrial","category-latest","category-west"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v28.0 (Yoast SEO v28.0) -
