ABM Building & Energy Solutions has acquired Airco Commercial Services Inc., a Northern California provider of HVAC service, energy solutions and building controls located in Sacramento, Calif.<\/p>\n
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe acquisition of Airco Commercial Services enables ABM to provide an expansive portfolio of HVAC, mechanical and energy efficiency solutions throughout Northern California,\u201d Scott Giacobbe, ABM\u2019s president, said in a company release. \u201cWith recent Title 24 changes, PACE financing options and a variety of government and utility incentives, we can now offer clients in Northern California cost-effective energy efficiency solutions that reduce operating expenses and improve indoor comfort.\u201d<\/p>\n
The two energy companies have worked together for more than 27 years; in 1987, Airco became a franchisee of Linc Service, which is owned by ABM. The company expect a seamless integration since standard operating procedures and management principles are already shared.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are very excited to introduce these best-in-class HVAC and energy efficiency services to our existing electrical, facilities engineering, janitorial, landscape, security and parking clients throughout Northern California,\u201d ABM executive vice president\u00a0Tracy Price said in the release. \u201cOur strategy to deliver our entire portfolio of services in every major metro area in California is now complete. Many clients are looking for a single-source provider for all their facility services. It\u2019s a real competitive advantage for ABM.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to Charles Jones, ABM\u2019s retiring president, he was looking for a smooth transition for the company\u2019s employees and an uninterrupted delivery of best-in-class solutions to clients, so ABM made the most sense.<\/p>\n
