Corporation Establish Headquarters in Pittsburgh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2014\/07\/BNY-Mellon-Center-in-Pittsburgh.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-277253\" title=\"BNY Mellon Center in Pittsburgh\" src=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2014\/07\/BNY-Mellon-Center-in-Pittsburgh.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"211\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>By Adriana Pop, Associate Editor <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Engineering and consulting services firm Michael Baker International will be relocating its global corporate headquarters from Moon Township to downtown Pittsburgh by the end of this year.<\/p>\n<p>The company has signed a ten-year lease to occupy 22,000 square feet of space on the top two floors of the iconic BNY Mellon Center at 500 Grant Street.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/pittsburgh\/news\/2014\/07\/09\/michael-baker-international-to-make-downtown.html?iana=ind_cre\" rel=\"nofollow\" ><em>Pittsburgh Business Times<\/em><\/a>, Dan Adamski, a managing director in the Pittsburgh office of Jones Lang LaSalle, represented Michael Baker International in its search for the new headquarters, which will host about 65 employees.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey definitely wanted to be in trophy space downtown, giving that it will be a client-facing office,\u201d Adamski told the newspaper.<\/p>\n<p>Scheduled to occur in December, the move will accommodate the company\u2019s growth, which has reached more than $1.3 billion in annual revenue and more than 5,000 employees working from over 90 offices across the world.<\/p>\n<p>In Pittsburgh, Baker has been involved in hundreds of major development projects, including the Fort Pitt Tunnel, the Squirrel Tunnel or the infrastructure throughout the stadium and convention center areas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe take immense pride in our company\u2019s involvement in Pittsburgh infrastructure growth over the last 75 years and we are excited to reaffirm our commitment to the area and city through this relocation,\u201d Michael Baker International CEO, Kurt Bergman, said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p>The company also plans to maintain its Moon Township production office, which currently hosts 350 employees.<\/p>\n<p>In other news, F.N.B. Corporation, parent company of First National Bank of Pennsylvania, has formally named Pittsburgh as its corporate headquarters.<\/p>\n<p>According to the company\u2019s announcement, customers and employees will not be impacted by the selection of the new headquarters, a regional office the bank opened on the North Shore in 2004. F.N.B. will maintain its operations center and support areas in the Hermitage campus, which has benefited from a $15 million investment in recent years, while the bank\u2019s charter will remain in Greenville, Mercer County, where it was established 150 years ago.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNaming Pittsburgh as F.N.B. Corporation\u2019s official headquarters is a logical progression in our evolution as a regional financial services organization,\u201d stated Vincent J. Delie, Jr., president and CEO of F.N.B. Corporation. \u201cPittsburgh currently serves as the headquarters for our Wealth and Insurance lines of business, and its close proximity to Hermitage permits us to recruit effectively for both locations.
