It is not known if the decision was a result of BLT\u2019s acquisition.<\/p>\n<p>With the deal, BLT\u2019s portfolio of office properties in the state increased to more than 5 million square feet. The company developed Harbor Point, the transformative master-planned development in Stamford, which includes a full mile of waterfront, public parks, abundant restaurants and retail stories, more than 4,000 residential units and several million square feet of commercial development; plus BLT recently announced a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/regions\/mid-atlantic\/starwood-hotels-resorts-signs-430-ksf-lease-for-global-hq-in-stamford-conn\/1004097199.html\">430,000-square-foot, 20-year lease with Starwood Hotels &amp; Resorts Worldwide at Harbor Point<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re pleased to expand our portfolio into Westport, which is home to a number of Connecticut\u2019s leading businesses,\u201d Kuehner said. \u00a0\u201cBLT is a Connecticut company, and the opportunity to acquire another market-leading property here is especially exciting for us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the Westport News, as a result of the property transaction, the town received $325,000 in fees, and the state received $1.6 million.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Building and Land Technology has acquired Nyala Farms Corporate Center, a 372,207-square-foot office park on 53 acres in Westport, Conn., for $130 million.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":451,"featured_media":1004099728,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[21783,11,21742,21747],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-1004099724","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-investment","category-midatlantic","category-latest","category-office"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v28.0 (Yoast SEO v28.0) -
