{"id":1004099527,"date":"2014-06-27T13:57:32","date_gmt":"2014-06-27T21:57:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/?p=272709"},"modified":"2020-05-12T23:58:42","modified_gmt":"2020-05-13T07:58:42","slug":"holladay-properties-announces-20m-indoor-facility-on-400-acre-sports-campus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/holladay-properties-announces-20m-indoor-facility-on-400-acre-sports-campus\/","title":{"rendered":"Holladay Properties Announces $20M Indoor Facility on 400-Acre Sports Campus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2014\/06\/Grand-Park-in-Westfield.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-272716\" title=\"Grand Park in Westfield\" src=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2014\/06\/Grand-Park-in-Westfield.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>by Adriana Pop, Associate Editor <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Holladay Properties of South Bend has unveiled its plans to develop a $20 million indoor sports facility at the Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield.<\/p>\n<p>The project was announced during the ribbon cutting ceremony of the massive sports complex held on June 21.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibj.com\/westfields-grand-park-scores-20m-indoor-facility-restaurant\/PARAMS\/article\/48257\" rel=\"nofollow\" >Indianapolis Business Journal<\/a><\/em>, construction on the 370,000-square-foot building along 191st Street could begin within the next two months and be complete next year.<\/p>\n<p>Plans call for three full-size professional soccer fields that can be used for recreational and competitive play, office space, locker rooms, meeting rooms and a family-friendly restaurant operated by Jonathan Byrd&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are thrilled to announce this partnership between the City of Westfield and Holladay Properties,&#8221; said Mayor Andy Cook. &#8220;An indoor facility will make Grand Park a tourism destination year round. Since Grand Park opened in March, developers have been inquiring about building hotels and restaurants around the park, this will solidify those interests.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The 400-acre Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield features 26 baseball and softball diamonds, 31 multipurpose fields for soccer, football, rugby, field hockey and lacrosse, as well as two indoor facilities to accommodate year-round play for a variety of sports. Visitors also have access to an abundance of green space and more than 10 miles of pedestrian\/bicycle trails, including the largest trailhead on the Monon Corridor.<\/p>\n<p>The complex is expected to provide a significant economic impact for the central Indiana region on a year-round basis. It is estimated that more than 1.5 million sports visitors will participate in or attend tournaments and events at the campus annually.<\/p>\n<p>Officials hope that the Grand Park Sports Campus will spur additional development in the surrounding area.
